Monovision is a technique we have been doing at Norden Laser Eye for over 10 years now. It is interesting most people do not know that you can do LASIK just to get rid of reading glasses. That's right, if you have worn glasses your whole life, or you have never worn glasses, when you get into your 40s or 50s, you find you have that difficulty reading and you have to wear reading glasses. What we have been doing this as I said for over 10 years now and you do not have to wear those reading glasses any more. With Monovision, which is a technique that has been done with contact lenses for many years, what we do is we take your dominant eye and we correct that for distance. The nondominant eye, the other eye is corrected so it is able to read. With both eyes open you see great far away and you see great up close. The only way you know the eyes are different is if you go back and forth like this, we say don't do this. But, that is the only way you will know, so it will seem as natural as possible.
